US recalls (4)
Power train: automatic transmission, lever and linkage
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Dodge Dart vehicles. The shifter cable may detach from the transmission, preventing the vehicle from shifting into the park (P) position and causing a loss of park function.
Risk and remedy
Risk: A loss of park function may allow the vehicle to rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Vehicles that were previously repaired under recall 19V293 will need to have the new remedy completed. Dealers will replace the shifter cable assembly and install a cap, free of charge. Interim notification letters, explaining the safety risk, were mailed November 6, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is A0C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 16, 2025.
Power train: automatic transmission, lever and linkage
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Dodge Dart vehicles equipped with 6-speed automatic transmissions. The shifter cable bushing may fail allowing the shift cable to detach from the transmission.
Risk and remedy
Risk: If the shifter cable detaches from the transmission, the vehicle may not perform the shifts performed by the driver. Additionally, despite selecting PARK with the shifter, the vehicle may roll away. These scenarios may increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: This recall will be replaced by NHTSA recall number 25V674. Vehicles already repaired under this recall will need to have the new remedy completed. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the transmission side shifter cable bushing, free of charge. The recall began September 5, 2019. In affected vehicles, engine oil from the vacuum pump may seep into the brake booster, damaging a component within the brake booster.
Risk and remedy
Risk: Internal damage to brake booster could result in a loss of brake assist, lengthening the distance needed to stop the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the brake booster grommet for the presence of oil. If no oil is found, the vacuum tube assembly will be replaced. If oil is found, the vacuum pump, vacuum tube assembly, brake booster and master cylinder will be replaced. The recall began on May 9, 2016. Risk and remedy
Risk: If the transmission shifts into neutral, it can cause loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. Vehicles that were repaired under V34 (Transport Canada recall no. 2019-183) also require this repair.
Safety Risk:
A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash.
Corrective Actions:
FCA Canada will notify owners in writing. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

Issue:
On certain cars equipped with an automatic transmission, the shifter cable may detach. This could cause the transmission not to shift gears when the shifter is moved. If a driver attempts to exit the car while it is not in the Park position, and the parking brake is not applied, the car could move suddenly.
Safety Risk:
Sudden and unexpected movement of the car could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the transmission side shifter cable bushing with an improved one.
Note: The gear position indicator on the instrument cluster and next to the shifter will continue to work properly. In addition, if the driver's door is opened while the transmission is not in Park, the door ajar messages will display on the instrument cluster and chimes will sound.
Brakes
2015-11-25 · campaign 2015-571
On certain vehicles, engine oil may migrate from the vacuum pump into the brake booster. Prolonged brake booster diaphragm exposure to engine oil could cause the diaphragm to fail, leading to a loss of brake booster assist. This may result in increased brake pedal effort, which could increase stopping distances, potentially resulting in a crash causing injury and/or damage property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the brake booster grommet for the presence of oil. If no oil is found, the vacuum tube assembly will be replaced. If oil is found, the vacuum pump, vacuum tube assembly, brake booster and master cylinder will be replaced.
Powertrain
2015-08-27 · campaign 2015-382
On certain vehicles, a defect in the Transmission Control Module (TCM) mounting bracket may cause the printed circuit board solder joints to separate, resulting in an electrical open circuit in the TCM. An open circuit in the TCM could cause the transaxle to shift into “Neutral” without warning. If the transmission shifts into neutral, the vehicle may experience a loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the Transmission Control Module and the TCM mounting bracket.
