Equipment: electrical, engine block heater

2025-10-10 · campaign 25V685000 · 59,006 vehicles

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Lincoln MKC, 2016-2023 Explorer, 2019-2020 Fusion, 2019-2024 Ranger, 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair, Escape, 2021-2024 Bronco, Bronco Sport, and 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles. The engine block heater may crack and develop a coolant leak, causing it to short circuit when the block heater is plugged in.

Risk and remedy

Risk: An electrical short circuit can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Owners are advised not to plug in their block heater until the vehicle is remedied. Dealers will replace the block heater, free of charge. Owners will also have a alternative option to replace engine block heater element with a threaded blanking plug, and remove the block heater electrical cord. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed December 3, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated December 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25SA4. 2025-06-27 · campaign 25V442000 · 200,237 vehicles

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Transit Connect, 2019-2020 MKZ, MKX, Edge, Continental, F-150, Nautilus, Fusion, 2019-2023 Ranger, Mustang, 2020-2021 EcoSport, Expedition, Navigator, 2020-2022 Escape, F-250 SD, Corsair, 2020-2023 Aviator, Transit, 2020-2024 Explorer, 2021-2024 Bronco Sport, and 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank image, or the image may remain on the display after the backing event has ended.

Risk and remedy

Risk: A rearview camera that displays a blank image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle. A rearview image that continues to be displayed after the vehicle is shifted out of reverse may distract the driver. Both of these situations can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the rearview camera software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 4, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S72.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021 Ranger and Bronco vehicles. The cruise control radar module was misaligned during production.

Risk and remedy

Risk: A misaligned radar module may prevent the vehicle from maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles when adaptive cruise control is active. In addition, the automatic emergency braking (AEB) system may react slowly, or not react at all, during a pre-collision assist braking event. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will adjust the angle of the cruise control radar module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 21, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 21S52.

2021-10-15 · campaign 21V811000 · 47,683 vehicles

Risk and remedy

Remedy: Ford will provide owners with instructions to perform a preliminary inspection of their front seat belts. Owners that detect an issue with the driver's seat belt, are unsure of the results, or do not want to perform an inspection, should not drive their vehicles and contact a Ford dealership. Dealers will inspect the front row outboard seat belts and replace them, if necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed on November 5, 2021. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage System."

Risk and remedy

Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2025-554. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall don't require this repair. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Ford advises you not to use the engine block heater until the recall repairs have been completed. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the block heater. Alternatively, owners can choose to have the dealership permanently disable the engine block heater.

Visual system

2025-06-27 · campaign 2025-360

Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the SYNC software.

Label

2023-05-29 · campaign 2023-308

Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label lists the wrong maximum weight of occupants and cargo. Specifically, for Bronco and Super Duty models, the cargo capacity (payload) may have been calculated incorrectly. For the Ranger models, the weight of vehicle options may have been entered incorrectly. As a result, the vehicle could be overloaded. Canadian regulations require companies to print the maximum weight of occupants and cargo on the tire and loading information label. Safety Risk: Incorrect information about the vehicle's weight capacity could lead to overloading and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will mail a new tire and loading information label to each owner. If you would like help to install it, you can contact a Ford dealer to have it installed free of charge.

Accessories

2021-12-17 · campaign 2021-770 · 214 vehicles

Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with adaptive cruise control (ACC), there could be a problem with the front radar module. As a result, your vehicle may follow another too closely when using adaptive cruise control. Also, the pre-collision assist (PCA) system might not detect a possible crash and the application of automatic emergency braking (AEB) may be delayed. Safety Risk: Following too closely behind another vehicle could increase the risk of a crash. An automatic emergency braking (AEB) system that doesn't work properly may not reduce the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to adjust the angle of the cruise control radar module.

Seats and restraints

2021-10-18 · campaign 2021-637

Issue: On certain trucks, the driver and/or front passenger seat belts may not be properly routed through the anchor eyelets. As a result, the seat belts may not work as designed in a crash. Note: This recall only affects SuperCab body style trucks. Safety Risk: A seat belt that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for inspecting the driver and front passenger seat belts before using either seat. Depending on the results, Ford advises that you should take the following steps: 1. If the seat belts pass the inspection, you should schedule an appointment and take your truck to a dealer to inspect and replace the seat belt retractor and pretensioner assemblies, as necessary. 2. If the driver's seat belt does not pass the self-inspection, or you are uncertain of the results of your inspection, you should not drive your truck and contact your dealer to make arrangements to have it towed for an inspection. 3. If the front passenger's seat belt does not pass the self-inspection, do not use that seat unit the seat belt has been inspected by a dealer.

Additionally, the head restraints in the rear seats may interfere with the proper installation of taller child or booster seats that have rigid lower anchor connectors. Note: This recall affects Super Cab models equipped with rear seats that have fixed head restraints. Safety Risk: A child or booster seat that is not properly attached or properly positioned could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the head restraints on the rear seats.
