Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's number for this recall is R26A1. NISSAN IS RECALLING MODEL YEAR 2009-2010 NISSAN CUBE VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM JANUARY 30, 2009 THROUGH JULY 30, 2010. Remedy: DEALERS WILL DEVELOP A SPECIAL PROTECTOR AND ATTACH IT TO THE GASOLINE RECIRCULATION TUBE AT THE LOCATION OF THE FILLER NECK CONNECTOR. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 13, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.

Airbag

2026-04-09 · campaign 2026-184

Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver-front airbag inflator may not have been properly welded. As a result, the airbag module could separate from the steering wheel when it deploys in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Action: Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the driver-front airbag inflator.

Fuel system

2010-07-22 · campaign 2010-247

Certain vehicles may not meet the requirements of the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 301 - Fuel System Integrity. After a rear impact crash test during a compliance testing program, the post crash fuel spillage exceeded the limit specified by the standard. Should fuel leakage occur and be in close proximity to an ignition source it could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will install a protector to the gasoline recirculation tube at the filler neck connection.

Airbag

2010-07-16 · campaign 2010-235 · 779 vehicles

On certain vehicles, the passenger-side curtain airbag may have been incorrectly positioned during vehicle assembly. As a result, in certain types of crashes where side curtain airbag deployment is expected, a portion of the bag may be restricted from fully deploying. The side curtain airbag will still deploy in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding applicable safety standards. Correction: Dealers will replace the side curtain airbag. This action is a Customer Satisfaction Campaign and is not being conducted as per the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
