As a result, the sensor could dislodge or separate from the fuel tank in a rear crash and cause a fuel leak. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install an extension for the fuel pressure sensor wiring harness.

Lights and instruments

2026-03-25 · campaign 2026-140

Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the instrument cluster not to display when the vehicle is started. As a result, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including the speedometer, gear selection indicators, warning lights and malfunction tell-tales. Safety Risk: Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display could increase the risk of a crash.
